MEET ROGER NEAL

ON THE ISSUES

Safe Neighborhoods, Support Police and Fire

As a Team Leader for the Farmers Branch Citizens on Patrol Program, Roger has shown his commitment to improving and maintaining the public safety aspects of our neighborhoods. He will fully support our police and fire departments to provide them the best training, equipment, resources, and support services to protect our city.

Lower Taxes / Fiscally Responsible

Roger Neal believes the government should support our families and neighborhoods,  and spend our tax dollars wisely. Our city tax revenue has grown greatly over the past, most recent years.  On the city council, he will work hard to manage and monitor budget expenditures and keep a watchful eye on wasteful spending.  Roger will work hard to lower our tax rate without sacrificing city services. His mission is to lower our tax rate, closely monitor city expenditures, and provide Farmers Branch residents an opportunity to keep more of their hard-earned money.

Fair, Efficient & Effective Code Enforcement

The health of our community must be a top priority.  Roger Neal believes that ethical, fair, even-handed code enforcement is necessary for cleaner streets, sidewalks, crosswalks, and safer neighborhoods.  Roger believes the city code enforcement team can help elevate overall Public Safety aspects, in support of our police and fire departments.   For example: Having safer (free of clutter) walking sidewalks and crosswalks will likely help prevent accidental injuries, requiring fire department EMS or police assistance.  In addition,  Roger believes the enforcement strategies need to be fair, and equitably enforced across the entire city, without being burdensome to the residents.

Maintain our Parks & Open Spaces

Farmers Branch is known as the “City in a Park” in Dallas County for good reason.  As Vice Chair of the Farmers Branch Planning & Zoning Commission, Roger worked hard on the recent Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance (CZO) for the future of Farmers Branch.  He visited other cities and locations around Dallas to learn what citizens desire, attended many local resident meetings, and learned what residents want and what works in other areas around DFW.  Roger took what he learned to help derive many aspects of the newly implemented Farmers Branch Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance.

We have many award-winning parks in Farmers Branch that provide a variety of amenities and attractions for visitors and residents alike. Roger Neal will support the maintenance of these open spaces to preserve their natural beauty along with appropriate security levels for the safety of all.

Everybody should get to enjoy the outdoors!

In addition, Roger is a supporter of the Arts and Cultural aspects of our city and will work hard to maintain and improve the arts and culture of our city.

Listen and RESPOND!

Public servants have a duty to actively listen to their constituents and quickly address their concerns. As a city councilman, Roger Neal will “Listen first”,  so every resident has the opportunity to make their voice heard and positively impact their community. Roger will work very hard to “RESPOND” to resident concerns.  He is dedicated to finding and implementing effective solutions to keep our families thriving and safe.
